Medipex NHS Innovation Awards and Showcase 2026 Winners
24 June 2026
On 24 June 2026, healthcare innovators and their supporters from across the UK came together online for the Medipex NHS Innovation Awards and Showcase 2026 to celebrate the outstanding innovative achievements of NHS staff who go above and beyond to improve patient care and outcomes through innovation.
The breadth of participation was reflected in entries from 24 different NHS trusts across the competition's four NHS-led categories. The showcase celebrated 12 NHS finalists and, for the first time, five finalists in the new industry-led category, Industry-led innovations to address patient safety challenges.
A highlight of the programme was a keynote address from Joanna Calvert, Senior Programme Manager at the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), who shared insights into the NIHR Life Sciences Industry Hub, a new initiative to improve and increase commercial clinical trials.
Attendees also took part in a series of interactive breakout sessions covering paediatric health technology, digital health regulation, innovation adoption and common health technology development challenges. We would like to thank the NIHR HealthTech Research Centre in Paediatrics and Child Health, Medilink, Health Innovation Yorkshire and Humber and NIHR HealthTech Research Centre in Long Term Conditions (Devices for Dignity) for delivering these valuable sessions.
Congratulations to all our category winners …
