Medipex joins the Nexus Venture Mentoring Service

Medipex are honoured to have been invited to support the recently launched Nexus Venture Mentoring Service, based on a unique team mentoring system developed by MIT in Boston, USA.

This initiative is run by the University of Leeds innovation hub, Nexus, and is designed to nurture start-ups and SMEs through the process of developing and launching new products and growing their businesses.

Lindsay Georgopoulos, Head of Innovation and Deputy CEO at Medipex, has been invited to act in a mentoring capacity to companies enrolled on the scheme. Lindsay says “I am really excited to join the Nexus Venture Mentoring Service; the idea to develop mentoring teams to support entrepreneurs will enable the timely input of various stakeholder perspectives, helping to identify potential barriers and address skills gaps at the earliest opportunity.”

The team at Nexus have already developed a comprehensive network of mentors with a wide-ranging skillset to support the service and would like to hear from any eligible businesses that are interested in joining the Nexus community and accessing such support.

Medipex looks forward to supporting any healthcare businesses engaged on the scheme, with the primary aim of ensuring that healthcare products and services are being designed and developed in the right way to solve real clinical problems with user needs at the centre of any such process. We wish to use our successful track record in commercialising medical technologies, and our knowledge of healthcare product development processes and regulations, to help new companies launch products and services that are successfully adopted by the NHS and other healthcare systems.
