Medipex champions women in leadership
23 March 2021
Medipex was honoured to be invited to the AWRC Wellbeing Accelerator’s Inspiring Women in Leadership virtual panel event which took place on the 8th of March 2021.
This event was organised by the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC) based at Sheffield Hallam University. This is part of the AWRC Wellbeing Accelerator programme, helping start-ups bring health and wellbeing innovations to market.
Agnes Crutchard, Senior Market Intelligence Manager at Medipex, was invited to join the panel and share her experience as a woman who has been active in the healthcare sector for more than 10 years. Agnes joined a panel of 3 other women also established in the healthcare sector, including Helen Williams Business Owner, Coach and Investor - Helping Entrepreneurs Win, Lindsey Cook Director, Non-Executive Director and Trustee - Wicked Minds Healthcare Consultancy, and Michelle Kelly Managing Director - Bid Thinking. The host was Kimberley Holland, Relationship Manager at the AWRC Wellbeing Accelerator.
The event was built around this year’s theme ‘Choose to Challenge’ and was destined to Celebrate women's achievements, raise awareness against bias, and take action for equality. It gave the opportunity for the panel members to share their experiences of the healthcare sector where they have benefited from opportunities but also faced challenges. It also allowed them to give an insight into their lives as working women, business women, mothers and daughters. The break out sessions offered the opportunity for both men and women to come together, share views and promote equality. Watch the event on YouTube.
The participation of Medipex at this event forms a continuum to its current support of the AWRC Wellbeing Accelerator programme as mentors and its ongoing relationship with Sheffield Hallam University, providing support to the tech transfer team and to academic research team developing projects in the healthcare sector.
