Innovation Champion Network (ICN) Sessions

The Innovation Champion Network (ICN) sessions will start again in January 2026.  Medipex will be presenting an  ‘Introduction to Innovation and Intellectual Property’ across several dates and times.

The ICN forum aims to promote innovation across all NHS staff and create a network of people interested in engaging in discussions, activities and to highlight the support available to healthcare innovators.

These sessions will also support NHS Organisations to comply with the Step 3 Good Practice Principles of the updated NHS IP Guidance: Intellectual property (IP) guidance for the NHS in England - GOV.UK

The ICN presentation will cover

• What is intellectual property (IP)?
• The importance of IP in the NHS and how it fits with innovation
• How to identify and protect IP
• Considerations for assessing and progressing ideas
• What is the role of individuals in IP development and management
