Distal locking simulator

A high-fidelity task specific distal locking image intensifier simulator (DiLIIS) prototype to replicate the function and use of an image intensifier for freehand locking for training purposes. The device is intended for clinicians teaching course.

Activate Your Heart

Activate Your Heart is an online, interactive cardiac rehabilitation programme designed to support individuals who have had a recent cardiac event, or with a pre-existing heart disease. The programme is destined to promote patient self-management and allow remote monitoring by the cardiac rehabilitation team. This is particularly suitable for hard-to-reach patients who are not available or able to attend standard rehabilitation sessions.

This project is already implemented and has been tested at several locations in the UK. The project team are looking for a commercial partner for the sales and marketing of this product.

Finger pricks management aid

A device to help manage finger pricks episodes and reduce the experience of pain. It can be used by diabetic nurses to manage their patients and by patients for self management.

Augmentative and Alternative Communication Apparatus

A non invasive communication tool for patients with impaired speech or unable to make purposeful gestures. The apparatus can also be used as a diagnostic tool.

A software for the measurement of Bradykinesia, a defining feature of Parkinson’s disease.
