Safe tracheal introducer

A new tracheal introducer which would allow improved first-time tracheal intubation in difficult patients. This could benefit junior doctors and non-anaesthesia specialists, as well as experienced anaesthetists.

This project is at concept stage with initial drawings. We are in the process of securing partners for prototype manufacturing,  prior to its evaluation at the designated NHS trust.

We are looking for a partner to develop and commercialise the device.

Spot Before you Block

A medical device, offering a fail-safe mechanism to prevents a nerve block needle from injecting the local anaesthetic in the wrong side of the body. This could improve adherence by anaesthetists to the Stop/Pause guidance.

This project is at concept stage with initial drawings. We have identified a clinical need to improve practice and market opportunities.

We are looking for seed funding or a collaboration partner to get to POC stage.

Dypstck

A non-medical device with 4 engineered holes to indicate the viscosity liquid food which has been thickened with a thickening agent, for patients with dysphagia (difficulty swallowing).

Funding has been secured and prototype device has been fabricated and efficacy is being evaluated within care-homes to identify ideal design variation.
