A non-invasive version of the Short Synacthen Test to evaluate adrenal function, particularly in children.

This project has a patented formulation and proof of principle clinical data.

NG-Sure

A new portable, non-invasive device to confirm correct nasogastric tube placement.

The project is at it’s at the Proof of Concept stage, being developed and tested with MRC DPFS funding.

DAFNE Plus

A medical device, which takes data from the patient’s own glucose meter and sends the raw data

to a secure server via mobile network to allow remote glucose monitoring.

Prototype has been developed and the Trust are seeking a private company to support its commercialisation through a licensing agreement.

Aspirate

A microphone based medical device to detect silent aspiration (food/drink passing into the lungs rather than the

stomach) can be detected in patients with dysphagia.

Proof of concept electrode-array realised, with next phase of development planned. Acoustic analysis conducted by a university and a draft paper written.

We are looking for a partner to develop and commercialise the device.
