Innovation Voucher Competition 2021

Medipex Innovation Voucher worth £5000

In partnership with Medovate, we are seeking to award a voucher worth £5K to spend on agreed activities to progress a medical device* idea/concept that addresses a clinical need in the areas of surgery, anaesthesia, airway management, critical care and emergency care.  Eligible activities to spend the voucher include (but are not limited to) IP protection, market validation, design, prototyping, evaluation etc.   The idea can be a very early stage concept through to a partially developed/tested technology.  Purely digital solutions (e.g. apps) will not be eligible, but novel devices that include a software element are acceptable. The NHS organisation will retain all intellectual property and rights resulting from the voucher award.

“Medical device” means a product designed to be used for the diagnosis, prevention, monitoring, prediction, prognosis, treatment or alleviation of a medical condition, disease, injury or disability. Alternatively a product designed to investigate, replace or modify the anatomy or physiological/pathological process or state. Diagnostic devices (including in vitro diagnostics) are eligible.
