The medical physics team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust have developed a software security interface that provides a check to ensure optimal display performance before the image viewing software can be run. A substandard or poorly adjusted monitor may cause vital information in an image to be missed leading to misdiagnosis and thereby compromising the level of care provided to the patient. This invention ensures that the computer display is operating at a predetermined quality, before launching the image viewing software. The Image Viewing Control software has been licensed to W.S.Rothband & Co Ltd.
